It’s been a few weeks since my new EP Little Gestures arrived and lordy, they’ve been busy… I played a well-received show upstairs in Whelans, debuting some new songs and having a fantastic time with my little band. This was my first time back on-stage properly since last Summer (and the Covid-induced 3 month break from everything) and it was so good to be back.

My new EP is out there getting stuck into the ears of the public so it’s time to share something for your eyes… the video for Give Me A Chance - one of my favourite songs of mine.

I’m delighted to announce the release of my new EP! To celebrate the anniversary of my debut album "A Grand Romantic Gesture", “Little Gestures” is a short collection of alternative versions of songs from that album, recorded (mostly) live with friends in Winter 2025.

It’s a new year and man, when I think about what I was up to 12 months ago, it’s hard to believe so much has happened so fast. In January of 2025, I was feverishly working away on the finishing details for my debut solo album “A Grand Romantic Gesture”. Making music videos, getting little bits and pieces printed, impatiently awaiting the arrival of the lovingly crafted vinyl records… it was a busy time.

If you’re celebrating, I hope you’re having yourself a nice run-up to Xmas. It can be a stress-y, difficult time for most of us (though we always tell ourselves otherwise) so if you’re having a tough one, you’re not alone and I hope you’re finding at least a few little pockets of nice times amongst the obligation and social pressure.

Let me take you through the process of making a music video when you can barely move from post-Covid fatigue. It was actually a very satisfying experience and allowed me to say an appropriate goodbye to an era of my nascent career.
